Congress Eligibility

To register for the Congress you must be either:

  • a Member of an ESH constituent society,
  • a member of ISH or
  • a registered professional in the field of Medicine, Dentistry or Psychology.

As a Congress participant it is expected that you only use hypnosis in a manner that is compatible with the ethical rules of your professional association and the ESH ethical guidelines, and within the remit of your professional competence. You will be asked to agree to this during registration.

Congress Ethical Consent

In agreement with the Code of Ethics of ESH ( ), I declare to abide by the following:

Professionals should at all times remain aware of their undertaking to use hypnosis only for those purposes for which they are professionally qualified and within the strict limitations of their professional work. This implies that those members who use hypnosis for some clinical or therapeutic purpose should have undertaken, or be undertaking, a professional qualification in that therapy recognized by the relevant health authorities of the country they work.

In registering for this congress I agree to abide by this statement, and I will use hypnosis only for those purposes for which I am professionally qualified by the relevant health authorities of the country I work, and within the strict limitations of my professional association and the terms of reference of my professional work. I agree to restrict my use of hypnosis to those problems for which I would be recognized as qualified to undertake within the health authorities of the country I work.

Cancellation policy


Notification of
cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the Organization Team by email
at The notification
must include all relevant information regarding the bank account to which a
possible refund may be remitted.

If the written
notification of cancellation is received before September 25, 2023, a
50% refund will take place. No refunds will be made for cancellations received
after this date.

Please note that changing your
participation status (onsite vs. online participation) has different terms
explained under the title “CHANGING THE PARTICIPATION STATUS” (

Please note that, if there is any, the bank transfer fees will be deducted
from the total amount of registration fee refunded. Also, please note that,
international money transfer times and fees depend on multiple factors, and may
vary depending on the banks or the countries involved in the transfer.

After notification for cancellation is received, confirmation of approval
of refund and further instructions on the refund transfer will be sent to you
within 7 work days.

Refund requests will
be processed within two months after the end of the Congress. Refunds will be
credited only to the person/entity who/which paid the original registration.  

Unless the quality of
the earlier announced program offer of the Congress significantly deteriorates,
changes of the lecturers and changes in the schedule do not entitle to
cancellation or to reduction of the participation fee.

Circumstances Defined for Refund and Cancellation Policies:

circumstances” is used to describe an event that is unexpected, that is beyond
our reasonable control, and that prevents us from continuing with an on-site
and/ or online congress as planned. Examples of such circumstances can include,
but are not limited to, inclement weather or other natural disasters, site
unavailability, technology challenges, and presenter absence.

In case it would
become inadvisable, commercially impracticable, illegal or impossible to hold
the Congress as planned for reasons that are beyond our reasonable control,
including but not limited to strikes or lockouts, riots, embargoes, boycott,
power failures or prolonged shortage of energy supplies, technology challenges,
inclement weather or other natural disasters such as fire, flood, hurricane,
earthquake, acts of state or governmental action, war, armed conflict or
warlike conditions including actual or apprehended terrorism, disaster,
curtailment of transportation facilities (including because of weather
condition) preventing or delaying attendance by a significant number of
registered participants, site unavailability, presenter absence, disease or
medical epidemics or outbreaks or any other reasons that constitute force
majeure, the following conditions will apply.

We may elect one of
the following remedies:

a) to cancel the
Congress; or

b) to suspend the
Congress for the duration of the impending circumstances or

c) to hold the
Congress as planned.

In either case any
registration fees that will have been paid to us will not be refunded and we
will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, claims, costs or expenses
of any kind whatsoever by reason of any cancellation, rescheduling,
postponement or alteration of the Congress.

If we elect to cancel
the Congress and we thereafter determine that we can cover our costs and
expenses we would to the extent possible affect remaining funds (after
accounting for a reserve fund to be determined by us) to reimburse pro rata
those who would have paid registration fees. All such payments would be made
after the Congress date. However, we do not assume responsibility for any
additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and

registration for the XVI ESH Congress.

b. Sending or forwarding
information in connection with the Congress organization.

Congress event participants.

2.      Types of personal data processed. The Controller processes the following
categories of personal data:

a. First name and surname

b. Home and/or business

c. E-mail address

d. Telephone number

e. VAT/Tax Registration


3.      Personal data archiving period. Congress participant (website user) personal
data are be kept by the Controller:

a. for as long as necessary
to complete the goal for which the data is collected (i.e. the organization and
running of the Congress), and, thereafter, until the claim expiry date,

b. for as long as necessary
to complete all tax settlements and obligations, and for as long as required
under relevant regulations on retaining tax documents and records.


4.      While using the website, additional information
may be collected, including, in particular, computer user’s or Internet
provider’s IP address, domain name, type of browser used, website access time
or type of operational system used.


5.      User’s navigational data may also be collected,
including information on the links and references that they decide to click on
or information on other activities that they may carry out while visiting the
